He looked so good against Real Madrid that I cracked a joke about me being more concerned that they would send a 100 million euros offer for him than sign Trent on a free transfer. Of course he got injured afterwards.
All eyes were on Bradley v Mbappe, the talk before the game was could he stand up to the challenge or did we need Gomez for added stability.
Not the first time Bradley has shown he can do just fine defensively. Especially when it’s Mbappe, you don’t dive in or he skips by you in a flash and not once did I see him do that, very smart defending.
Test well and truly passed.
I like him on the underlap, which is a good fit under Slot who likes to play more with wingers. Has powerful runs and actually some really sharp solutions in small spaces. Very nice combination.
End of the day you have to trust the lad, he isn’t around Anfield because he won a competition.
He got some criticism and some wet knickers about coming up to face Mbappe but he’s done enough to show he is capable.
Lol, so tackle where he smashed Mbappe isn’t diving in, but otherwise agree
Just after Mo missed his penalty he made a great underlapping run and was open and Mo failed to pass and lost the ball trying too much
I see it as a recovery tackle, talking specifically more when being fronted in those 1v1 scenarios. Never gave him the option to fly past him because he stood his ground and kept the right distance.
Yeah, Mbappe has beaten MacAllister, Bradley is coming over to intercept before he can get to the box. There was no opportunity to jockey or dive in at that point.

First few seconds shows the angle.
I mean technically in a way he did, in terms of competition for being good enough for us…
Haha @Bekloppt
Yeah, he had a really good game and I hope it marks a breakthrough. That tackle could be a defining moment in his career like Robbo’s one man hounding of the Man City Defence. However, one excellent performance doesn’t mean that he’s suddenly our first choice right back. Let’s give the lad time to develop. Really happy for him though.
I’ve said similar on the forum. Was worried about people putting too much expectation on him to be Trent’s replacement.
I’ve kept an eye on him since he was a youth player for NI just because of Liverpool connection. Remember him having a MOM performance against Italy before he’d even got into Liverpool squad. Then he obv had a great year at Bolton and a breakthrough with us last year.
But the speed of his development over the past year has been incredible. That performance last night was Gerrard-esque… tireless up and down the pitch, big tackles, passing, assist, almost scoring a header.
Seems a level-headed lad and hope he has good people around him after losing his dad, cos there’s no limit to his potential
Moments before his assist he also headed straight at Courtois, if he adds better finishing to his toolkit…
Dodgy beard though
He’ll learn.
I’m not sure facial hair growth is a learnable talent.
Maybe he learns to shave it off
