Just like everything else these days
One benefit of securing a contract… is that they become a financial asset again within the club - one they can sell.
Give MO and Virg a two year deal apiece… pay good money to secure them - Sell them in 12months to recoup the wages etc, and top the sale off with additional ‘millions’ of cherries on the top of the icing to sweeten the deal… Everyone wins..!
There has never in the history of the game, been so much floating about in the transfer market - we should take advantage of this

That sounds very positive to be fair.
Hopefully, we will get some good news soon for Mo and Virgil. I am resigned to the fact that Trent is going to Real Madrid, it is just a matter of when it will be officially announced.
Funny how it’s positive from the same source when it’s about players staying or coming, but when it’s about someone leaving, it’s immediately dismissed as rubbish.
I guess that’s just human nature.
The same person doing those things then?
I won’t believe anything until I see the official announcements.
I don’t think Ormstein is bad. He puts his name to it which is fair enough.
Also he is saying if not when, he isn’t edging that it could happen which is often the case with these things.
Always thought it would drag on towards the end of the season. Partly for us to get a sense of any decline in performance or physical concerns. Partly because you can’t announce one or two and then have the third under the spotlight all season with chances it disrupts the team.
I reckon we’ll get confirmation on Trent somewhere between sealing the title and the last game. Gives him a chance to say goodbye but not cause a distraction whilst we’ve still got a title on the line. Then the blow gets softened with the announcements of new deals for the other two closely followed by deals being announced for a shiny new player or two.
All a bit of a PR game.
Fabrizo stating we are close having Mo sign on the dotted line and stay on.
Mo is done with us?
Fixed for you
Paul Joyce has done an article.
No idea what it says because of the paywall but get the impression it’s extremely positive on both fronts.
Nah, must be rubbish…
The headline says all we need to hear

I believe the contents say VVD is close too after a breakthrough.
Mo is currently 42 goals behind Roger Hunt in the all-time scoring table for Liverpool. Two years should be enough for him to overtake Sir Roger and move into second place, behind Ian Rush.
As always, believe it only when they’ve actually signed it and it’s been announced on the official site.
And now you start being all cautious?!
