Would be huge this. Not only in keeping two bonafide legends at the club for two more years but also the breathing room it would give us for succession planning and the business we need to do this summer.

It would mean we’d only need one new CB, but we’d still need someone who can play RW (Frimpong?) and I hope Mo will accept that he won’t play every single minute.
Certainly would make life easier for the transfer team.

So looks like Virg and Mo staying and Trent leaving. Which is what most people expected from the outset.
I’d be delighted with this outcome. Get a few young lads in and a 2 year succession plan under Virg’s leadership and Mo’s coffee stop counselling

Virgil, Mo and Robbo play almost every minute of every game they are fit and at their age they can’t keep doing that while maintaining a high level of energy. While all are on significant wage with both Virgil and Mo possibly looking for more, we have to think about using them more in rotation with their successors as they still have a big part to play over the next couple of years, especially helping their replacements settle in
