I don’t buy that argument fully, even though I know it is a popular one to make. It has been possible to vote by mail for a long time. If you want to vote, if it is important to you, you can vote. Voting on election day may be hard due to voter suppression and the fucked up system you note, but why is it that hard to vote in advance ? I take your point though, it is some what harder to vote in the US on election day for sure.
To give a president a mandate ??? Voting is ultra important, doesn’t matter if you live in a “safe” state or not. How many percentages a president wins by is very important. It is about the narrative. Narratives are important.

I’m just giving reasons for voter fatigue. New York will give all of it’s electoral votes to democratic candidate, with or without ‘my vote’ (again- I do vote). Winning the popular vote overall means nothing. Hilary won overall vote last election by quite a bit. She was still not president.
With all due respect, you dont live here and you have not experienced it. This is not an abstract issue, but a real one for a significant percentage of our population.
I don’t agree that the popular vote is unimportant. Technically, only the Electoral College counts, but having a popular mandate is also important. I understand what you are saying though and I respect and understand that this is how many people think, like you say.

I haven’t said it is not real, I know it is real, but one can still vote by mail if one really cares a lot about voting. With your system, almost everyone should vote by mail in any case. So even though the problem is real and I happen to not live there, I can still point out that you can vote by mail.
My mother was watching the telly earlier today when I came to visit. News was obviously from the US. She asked me “how can he say that?” "How can he say that they should stop the vote count and how does he manage to get them to stand around as apes and chant stop the count? "

But I do think it will come down to 1-3 thousand votes. Hard to say though, maybe the postal votes are highly enough skewed for Biden. Certainly fascinating to follow !

Not sure he won the legal challenge in PA. If he did, i dont think it is anything that changes the votes in any significant way.

they had 60k+ remaining when he was on 18k votes. If they are down to 50k remaining, then so is his lead. Biden needs approx. 65% of votes, and so far the votes have been coming in at that Margin.
You are right. It points to Biden. I had a brain freeze mathematically (not the first time that has happened).
