Chimichanga is a nonsense word, like thingamajig. But the ‘chimi’ is probably a contraction of a word that means seared or burnt, and the ‘changa’ is probably from ‘chingar’, similar to ‘fuck’.

Legend has it the first one was a burrito inadvertently dropped in a deep fryer, and the cook stopped herself from swearing.

However, the ‘chimichanga’ I got in Paris had no burrito to speak of, and was not deep fried.

I like that Trump believes the SC will go against the constitution to rule him President.

He has nothing to offer them anymore. He lost, he’s gone. Why does he think they care about him?

Trump, the ultimate user and abuser, is now going to realise his three SC picks have all just used him.

Also the fact his camp came out and effectively said you owe me, firstly the other six won’t probably look at that favourably and any decision they decide to make.

Hopefully the next court for him is in the southern district of NY.

Barrett needs to establish her independence more than any of them. What happens if Biden calls on her to resign in January? That would be the first move in trying to change the balance of the court. Ruling against Trump in any election hearing seals the deal.

I expect Kreml to slowly, ever so slowly, release damaging info on Trump to hurt the US politically. They are going to do it in a roundabout manner, as soon as Kreml is convinced that he is no longer an asset.

@Arminius can he do that?

Ask her to resign? Sure. FDR did the same. He cannot force it, he has no authority to do so under the Constitution. But ask, absolutely.

Interesting. I had no idea. Thank you.

Three days before he announced his request to Congress, FDR hosted the SC at the White House, and asked each of the justices over 70 to resign and retire.
