Ding Dong.....the US Politics Thread (Part 2)

Why do you think I spend so much time on TAN?

Still doesn’t have the desired effect, though.

Ramaswamy is not @Sithbare.

You’re wrong for once in your life.

I don’t like sticking up for @Sithbare but there comes a time that I must be recognized as a profile in courage.

It’s official with the Brain Worms. He will be accepted by Congress, I assume.

There has been lots of talk of how Trump bending the party to his will over the past 4 years means he will have eliminated the factional infighting that mired his first presidency. For people who believe that I give you this…

Trump is still a capricious moron with no core other than self interest. That means every person in his orbit knows there will be no coherent throughline to the administration, no ideology that keeps everyone on the same page. That means the entire time is going to be a fight to see who can be the last person in the room with him to convince him that their thing is in his interest.

Genuinely worse than Tusli, Hegseth or even Gaetz.

Part of the genius of this is that the Senate wont have that many fights in them if they have any. None of these 4 should get a single vote, but it’s possible that by floating so many absurd nominees that he draws out all the fight they have in them over one specific one giving easy passage to the rest.

We all know that.

The trouble is that over 70 million Americans either don’t know or - even worse - don’t care.

If most Jerry Springer guests and Judy Justice participants are in the corner of Trump… it is unlikely any of them understand what they have actually voted for…!

Yeah, maybe. But Tulsi is geopolitically a greater risk and Gaetz involved with anything judical is alarming. But for the health of Americans, yes. He is so far the worst. But at least I don’t read Crazy-Kennedy as downright evil, more as an unhinged narcissist with wacko destructive ideas that will now be slotted into the worst imaginable position where he can force his ideas upon others.

But I don’t fucking know. Seems he has nominated a complete demoliton crew so far. It may and probably will be, worse.

There are betting circles on what month Wiles resigns. Some people think she may be out of the job before she is actually in the job.

It feels like she is already losing influence. Like I said, I was surprised by how normal the first round of nomination announcements were. Some were difficult to see how they fit into Trump world, and none were picks I like, but they were within the range of normal for the GOP. They seemed like picks heavily influenced by her, but as we have gone on it is now feeling like Trump has a monkey on PCP throwing darts at a dart board to make the picks.

Everything can always get worse. How you ask ? Well, for instance:

Ritter and Gaetz can get together and compare notes

He can’t. He’s a vegetarian.
