He’s got that Suarez mentality. Even on the bench, he’s living the game - yesterday, ref gives a foul against us, the camera shows the bench, and Jota is mouthing something about the ref.
Thought he was possibly our weakest forward/player last night. Salah again wasn’t great either, but got into some great goalscoring positions (first shot with his left was a bit scrappy, second one with his weaker right was very good, unlucky not to go in). We needed a bit of the Bobby/Mane stuff right down the middle. Both when Inter were building up (and they have some good invididuals to beat the press in the first phase) and in possession when we needed better ball retention to slow the game down for larger periods than what we did. The game was a bit too nervous for our taste and our goals last night.
Thing with Salah is I’d rather have a player miss and chance than not have one. Jota has looked sluggish since he came back but I have noticed this before.
Hit the nail on the head, I thought it was our ball retention from our forwards that caused us a lit of problems and Jota was the main culprit & I was surprised Jurgen didnt bring Diaz on sooner and push Sadio through the middle
