The one game I wanted Jota to not miss was against Arsenal.
I broke a rib in January when I had pneumonia. Could barely move for two weeks but I used swimming as physiotherapy and it really helped. Obviously, I’m not an athlete but Diogo will have access to the best medical care available.
Sort of glad it isn’t leg related.
I wonder if he is basically fit now and they didn’t want to risk him playing for Portugal?
Was it confirmed exactly what the problem was? If it is a broken rib then it would be 4-6 weeks minimum. I doubt he would have been able to play on at all if it was broken. I had a broken rib back in January and I could barely breathe, let alone run.
I’m guessing it was bruising, which is painful but should clear up quicker.
I don’t think so, but if you read the article, it’s meant to be a couple of weeks after the international break that he’ll be back, which is pretty much that 4-6 weeks timeline, no?
