I’m seeing the 10Y T at 4.65 and the 30Y at 4.85.
I think this bear steepening is the market beginning to properly price in structural inflation. The 5Y BEs at ~2,70-75 seems about right if not 10-20 bps low

It’s governments who fuck up a country’s infrastructure, not immigrants.

The infrastructure includes schools, hospitals etc. There simply isn’t enough to handle all the newcomers.
And housing takes time to build. America builds about 1.1-1.2 million homes a year but the country is short about 4-5 million homes. This means even if immigration was zero, it would take nearly half a decade just to build what is currently needed. It’s far worse in Canada.
I think immigration needs to be dramatically reduced until these imbalances are solved. I don’t think it’s unreasonable for governments to prioritize its own citizens above those who are not.
There are approximately 15 million homes vacant in the U.S.

I have been saying this day would come if Trump was elected since forever. Easier geopolitical forecast I have ever done.
It’s a Black Day this and the future will be grim. A future war with Russia in my life time, is no longer a negligible risk. But no one took this seriously. Zeitenwende nonsense UK promises to Ukraine, French and German. It was so easy to stop Russia. The little aid we gave to Ukraine had such a tremendous effect. After several months, RU still unable to dislodge even the UA Kursk pocket inside Russia. Russian attacks today are mostly done with private cars, not IFVs. They are so degraded, so close to the point where they would have to consider retreat. And yet, this day comes.
It’s over. For Ukraine, naturally, but most fools don’t realise, is that the risk of war for the average European now rose dramatically. But most people are still fucking asleep and I cannot help but loath every single person who showed a disinterest in Ukraine and thus contributed to not pushing their government into action, on behalf of all of us in Europe. You will pay the price. Not just Ukrainians.
Fuck the United States (fuck is much too mild a word, if there is a God, I hope he curses them and brands the stigma inside their souls for at least a century). Compared to the US leadership, Quisling was highly reasonable. Compared to Chamberlain, most European politicians in power have their heads in the sand, hoping that Trump doesn’t mean what he says and that “it will not be that bad”. That Head in the Sand policy will make it not that bad, but worse.
