Atlanta Fed GDP Now estimate for the first quarter has collapsed to something like -3%. The market hates tariffs. So it’s no surprise that the market is rolling over.
That’s ok. We back to the era of pretending that “the stock market isnt the economy” as a way to wave away the implications of what is happening.
I just checked, and the last conflict that the US fought on it’s own was the 1987 tanker war (against Iran).
I did show this to my boss who was based out in Afghanistan with the Bundeswehr in support of the US. He laughed.
The partner thing is over. The way I see it we’re at the stage where we can’t be sure if they’re actual enemies.
All I hear from this administration before and since it got to power makes me think that it has been put in place with the specific order to quickly destroy all foundations on which the country has been built since so long.
Project 2025.
Wait till they finally find out who pays the tariffs in the end.THEN THEY WILL MELT DOWN A TREAT.
They’ll blame Biden or the deep-state or some shit. Don’t bother waiting for any rational response from them ever. They’re too far gone.
They can’t get it around their heads that a large part of the military aid that went to Ukraine was spent inside the US. No way are these numbskulls going to equate rising prices to tariffs. It’s quite simply beyond their capacity to think independently of the cult they’ve joined.
So, what’s going on with the “Epstein list”? They’ve been begging for its release for years, then they re-release old news apparently, and that’s it, no one cares about the “list” anymore? I guess it’s hard to keep track of what to care about when you’re concern trolling about a million different things. On to the next one then I guess, let’s go count all the gold in Fort Knox.
There are quite a few signs that the first real fighting he has in mind is an incursion across the Mexican border into Sonora.
Which the Mexicans will pay for, of course.
The crazy thing about the Canadian retaliatory tariffs is that they are fundamentally political. Economically, all of the modelling shows we cannot do more damage to the American economy than their own tariffs do, not even close.
But the combination with China is going to hammer the US agricultural sector. Russian potash is not an option for March-April before planting, and so American farmers are going to be paying 25% more for their largest input for commodities they can no longer sell at market. The Chinese absolutely hammered the US soybean industry in 2018, and Canadian potash was not a factor then.
and the twat tells them to ‘have fun’
I look forward to my first cup of Iowa-grown coffee
