Drill Baby Drill...the US Politics Thread (Part 2)

I can’t help but a feel a bit of schadenfreude over those CEOs who actively supported this administration or rushed to kiss the ring. You reap what you sow.

Morning,
Thank you for your post.

Your words, I believe… so it was you who brought stupidity into the equation.
I used it in the same manner as you.

It was also yourself who made it about sources of information. As per below.

Definition of objective criteria from the Oxford Dictionary….

not influenced by personal feelings or opinions; considering only facts

Not at all. I am not the one who continually blames anything that goes against my views on the media….also, I thought your point was about information sources, not solely ‘The Media’.

So I ask you, is it not yourself whom has a chip on their shoulder when it comes to fair or trusted sources of information? I mean in your post above, you self assess “media sources” and by your own opinion.
Did you say something about ‘Objective Criteria’?

So going back to the Stupid and arrogant debate. Who actually are the Stupid and Arrogant? The ones you blame for making bad decisions (in your opinion) or you for thinking that your decision is always right and everyone else is wrong?

What could possibly go wrong? :expressionless:
https://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/doge-doh-nuclear-waste-facility-edition

One of the leases DOGE decided to cancel is the lease for Skeen-Whitlock Building in Carlsbad, New Mexico, a 90,000 square foot facility which manages the nation’s only storage area for DOD-created nuclear waste and the only operating deep geologic nuclear waste storage facility in the world.

Perhaps not. But it definitely qualifies as a lowlife photo.

Are there provisions in place for the removal of an unfit President that don’t include action being taken by the three branches, as the executive and the judicial (SC) is full of his lackeys and the legislative is GOP dominated?

Could the military get involved? That would be effectively a coup, but they are sworn to defend the constitution against domestic enemies as well, and he most certainly qualifies as one. Plus, they must hate his guts.

I’m struggling to keep up with this because it’s fucking grim in all honesty. All of this in isolation is bizarre in the extreme but explaining this away as just plain stupid is probably not accurate. The economic, social and human cost of natural, and man made, disasters can be extreme. One only need to look at an example like Katrina; devastating and near complete destruction in many areas with long lasting effects in the region. A nature bomb with nobody to retaliate against.

It makes zero sense to target NOAA, FEMA etc or any number of agencies/organizations that are responsible for early warning and/or management of things that could have an extreme effect but here we are, like this little nugget. It’s literally to keep America on the edge of paranoia and, if all this goes through, open to extreme events that will have a significantly higher impact than in these agencies were left intact. Take this into consideration with the concerted and again bizarre efforts to tank the economy, divide the nation and alienate allies… America will be stricken by any sort of natural event or industrial accident without any enemy having to fire a shot. Call me a conspiracy theorist with a tin foil hat but I cannot see past Trump being an asset with the sole purpose of bringing America to it’s knees in a form of hybrid warfare bridging economic, environmental and social means without actually using military ones that would trigger a response.

A virus can kill a healthy lion after all.

I think it’s misleading to look at it as a single cause, just that this is the outcome of how several overlapping interests lie.

The obvious twats leading this charge are both incompetent and full of themselves, so they think they already know everything, and go all shocked Pikachu when things don’t actually pan out the way they think it does. Sure, it might be a deep conspiracy where they’re actually just acting this way but in reality they’re some genius masterminds, but I think Occam’s Razor suggests otherwise. I think they simply genuinely have no idea what they’re doing but think they do.

In the background though, it suits some powerful interests, especially geopolitically, to weaken the US government. For some billionaires, it’s about lowering taxes, for others, it’s about ideology, and in many cases, it’ll be both. For China and Russia, it suits them to have American power diluted and humiliated.

This is enjoyable. All these big tech cunts who thought it was a good idea to support Trump will hopefully have another think (Tesla down at -32%).

Hopefully the value of these will go down further in the coming weeks. If Trump continues to be what he is, to say what he says, and to do what he does, it definitely will.
