I donât know what it is like in Europe right now, but the shift in Canadian consumer behaviour is astonishing. Two months ago, I had never seen someone with a barcode scanner app checking national origin in a grocery store. Now, it is common. American produce is discounted 70% to get it sold before it rots, because it is untouched.
The damage done to American consumer product brands that had the lionâs share of our market must be enormous.

It is absolutely crazy how false that post is:
i) Federal Funds rate has not moved since January. Might be some rates somewhere that have, but basically unchanged
ii) Egg prices 
are up. Lunacy that egg prices are even mentioned
iii) Tariff revenues would have just started, and there is absolutely no indication that meaningful percentages are being borne by non-American entities. In any case, it is unlikely in the extreme that he has any reporting whatsoever on those numbersâŠbecause DOGE gutted the office responsible for gathering and reporting that information.

My guess is that surcharge goes back on sometime between tomorrow and April 2. Ford dropped it as a gesture toward his meeting with Lutnick today. If that meeting doesnât produce results, Ford will be under immediate pressure.
