FEMA has been absolutely crippled. They were already at about 1/3rd of their positions open, they have have had almost 1000 probationary employees cut, and apparently lost about the same number of people in higher level positions.
Thoughts and tariffs…have the day you voted for.

I’ve only now for the first time seen one of the research cancellation letters faculty at Colombia received. It is outrageous. To cancel the research of independent researches because of supposed institutional failure unrelated to research is unheard of. Realize that in almost all cases grant funding is given to the individual, not to the institution, and when the scientist leaves to go somewhere else they take that funding with them.
To do this though for the supposed reason that the institution does not take anti semitism seriously, from an administration whose leaders do Nazi salutes, who have raging about Soros and the globalist plan to undermine the US people for decades, and even makes space for avowed proud unrepentant anti semites feels like itself is some sort of statement of wanting you to know that their rationales are bullshit.

Many of the people in this group are here on Temporary Protect Status i.e. here legally. This is not an issue of debating how much immigration we should have. It is one of a government acting extrajudicially to disappear law abiding people without due process. Once you do this not even being a citizen protects you because if you are denied due process you have no opportunity to prove you are a citizen.
