This is so funny. How did the United States manage to pull this off, one wonders. By being loathsome, that is a given, but you have to be very fucking loathsome indeed to make these traditional enemies coordinate their Trade War.

I am almost embarrased for him, that he falls for Eirik Raude’s yarn in 2025 (ok, real talk: Greenland was indeed much warmer around the year 1000 and indeed greener, which is again probably why the Dorset-people, the previous settlers, had abandoned Greenland when it became too warm; but these are pesky details that I seriously doubt this senator knows)

Utah will be marvelous in a global climate that has warmed enough to make Greenland green. That state relies on melting snowpack for a huge percentage of water and a significant amount of electrical generation. If it falls as rain and runs off/evaporates, the state will not be able to sustain the current population.

Last week I had to call the cops on the crew who does next door’s yard. Their version of leaf clean up was to just blow them into my yard so I approached them and asked them to not do that. The conversation was absurd. He denied he was doing it. I pointed out I was standing right there watching him. He denied even having a leaf blower so I pointed out the woman who turned out to be his wife was holding one at that moment. He then said it was not a big deal because they are only leaves, to which I said if they aren’t a big deal why doesn’t he just leave them where they are? On and on it went with him lurching wildly and incoherently from excuse to excuse, most of which were obviously nonsense. It was like dealing with a 5 year old trying to talk himself out of a punishment. He finally resolved the issue by getting out his strimmer and in a rage cutting huge divots out of my lawn. He then denied he had done that as well, or maybe he had but it was an accident, but an accident he didnt do because he didnt do it. And I dont even have a strimmer. He then ran away once he realized I was calling the cops.

Nah it’s much easier than that, just turn the tap on.
Of all the bad things about America, commercial yard crews are right up there with the worst. There was one who did several properties on my old street. All he’d do was to blow leaves from one yard to another, only to then show up in that yard a couple of days later and blow them back into the first yard.
People, WTF are we doing here?

DOGE should get involved with these ‘extraditions’ to El Salvador. Every time I’ve seen a video of one for every deported person there’s at least, 1000 soldiers, 1000 ICE people, loads of police/law inforcers.
El Salvadorians should be annoyed as well with at least 1000 masked ‘prison’ guards per ‘hostage’.
Not to mention the transport costs for all this.
