People here would probably start throwing eggs at them, but I guess that is out of the question.

Canada or TAN?

Until ISMF develops a virtual egg reaction for TAN users, it will have to be just Canada

Lost in all this globalization and China Shock focus on American Manufacturing, this is the reality

Automation has done more damage and for longer to US manufacturing jobs than globalization and relatively free trade has done. Even in China now, their strength is driven as much by the sophistication of their automation and processes as it is abundant cheap labor.

I appreciate manufacturing strength and manufacturing jobs are not the same thing and there is arguable value in strategic uplift of US manufacturing strength in certain sectors (see biden;s approach to green energy and CHIPS), but that is not how this is being sold.

Reminder, when this administration has to make the arguments in court they make to the public they are laughed out or sanctioned. In this case the administration’s lawyer admitted he didnt have answers for the court when pressed by the judge, acknowledged he had tried to get answers from the administration and failed. And now he’s been fired for not defending the administration vigorously enough

I;ve said it over and over again, but this is clearest actual real world example I have seen - the 4Chanification of our government

Yeah I think he’s already lost control of whatever faculties he had - the question is what happens in 18-36 months when he’s not capable of even putting up this front. Will there be a fight for power behind the throne or will it just be random anarchy. I think it is possible that we see China take Taiwan within 18 months, Russia move west and/or another coup in US.

Imagine being a competent person in this administration

People took a long time devising a tariff strategy and trump was like “Nar let’s do it dumber”

Given that one of the identified non-trade barriers was the French language, competence is a relative term. No one in this administration should ever be taken seriously again.

I have to say it is heartening to see this escalation in protests

Seems legit to me. It definitely was a barrier to my pastry buying abilities when I was Lyon last year.

Smells like something else to me.
