I had the same thought exactly when reading that section. Although some of his other points are valid, he is so up his own country’s arse it’s unbelievable. I’ve lived in the US a total of 10 years in the east coast and Midwest and there’s no way I’d trade life in the UK for that suicidally materialistic and consumption driven society. I actually do give a shit about my fellow human beings.
