But fucking interesting security clearance they have in the CIA these days. In Norway, you don’t even get minimum security clearance if you have been nabbed by police smoking a joint (because through the black market, you could know, or people could theoretically know you, and use it for blackmail and more so it’s not because of fear of people being on drugs) and you don’t get to be a conscript if you have close family located in countries such as Iran or Russia (many such instances and some of them are even seemingly quite unfair, but it is harsh). In the US, your son can fight for the Russian Empire, and you still get high clearance. What the fuck even is this bullshit.

That tier of school, Ivy Leagues and similar, are basically impossible to fail out of - it takes doing absolutely no work at all and/or serious behavioral problems. A ‘C’ average from a school like Penn means a lot of drinking, probably some (then mail order, now AI) purchased essays, and faculty passing the problem on. Once in, one genuinely may not need to be literate.
The best students at those schools are in the global elite, but the average are just not that impressive, coasting their way to an upper middle class existence.

I think that (he is already going after dissidents) this is worse especially paired with him completely ignoring the Supreme Court.
No ifs or buts about it anymore, he is now a dictator.
If they start doing public extra-judicial executions, his supporters would cheer it on. We’ve seen where this road leads to a million times before, just never thought I’d see it in the US.
It’s no longer alarmism if they’re literally doing what people have warned about for almost a decade now.
