I was watching a program about the Hitler youth on the history channel. One of the survivors of the Berlin bombing remarked that if the German people had been annihilated, Hitler wouldâve said âthatâs their fault for being weakâ.
It struck me that it would be the exact same response that Donald Trump would give if some such calamity fell people in America due to Trumpâs own actions..

It doesnât seem to have anything to do with the new federal government directly though. I read the article, expecting it was about US politics, but it seems it is just about an airport that is short on flight controllers, to the point where it affects safety and that there are delays of a few hours with some flights.
Back in Norway, we are used to flight controllers striking every 5-6 years, with the same consequences (although we donât let it affect safety, but cancel flights instead, as you should do). But of course, it will have an economic cost.
This administration has significantly exacerbated our shortage of controllers, both through DOGE and cancellation of programs focused on training new ones
I see. I was not aware of that, as the article did not mention it. And the other article I checked about it, also did not mention that staff had been let off by doge. Which I honestly find bizarre, since one ought to think media should mention such obvious correlations.
