Borderline doesnât belong in this thread, but geopolitics is very much politics; although this is peripheral.

Both the Chinese and the Japanese have reached the point of fury over Trump repeatedly misrepresenting their positions, including the complete fabrication of contacts. A Japanese minister has characterized it as trying to negotiate with a juvenile delinquent, which is astonishing language coming from a Japanese government official, even if off the record.
Oval Office looks like the receiving area of a Victorian brothel.

With so much nonsense you need a lot of self-control

Not at all funny, but that last line is gold!!!
Threatening a neighbouring countryâs independence from a merely artistic, aesthetic point of view is definitely original.
Trump says America doesnât do much business with Canada then says âits about 4%â. Is this man so feeble minded as to not understand that 4% is a huge number in this context. Goodness me he is staggeringly dumb.

Will not make a difference but important point to show that they are looking very closely at what is happening in the USA

Not sure what to make of it tbh
Iâve discussed this with a couple of Ukraine watchers earlier today. They were shocked by this news, but I argue that the job of those in Trumpâs government is really to enact what they think his politics is, and trumpâs rethoric was rather obvious. So this is not at all a surprise for me that he enacted this policy solo. After all, itâs what he has every single reason to think Trump wanted and the White House is currently a dysnfunctional political arena where supplicants carefully step softly around to do what they think Trump wants. The KGB didnât report to Leonid Brezhnev after he became ill either. This is one of the trade marks of autocracy. Do what you think the caudillo wants, but carefully so you donât get shot. Trump wonât punish Hegseth for this, I doubt he thinks he did something very wrongâŚ
Good point, I thought.

Did he get an award for his profile in obsequiousness for the four years prior too ?
Interesting. I wont ask what line of research youâve undertaken to establish this.
Doesnât care. No money or glory for Trump in it.
