She was once upon a time a respected prosecutor. Does anyone remember the Robert Durst documentary series on HBO about the old real estate heir who was the prime suspect in a series of murders? It blew my mind watching it to see a Fox News wacko was one of the key contributors to it as the lead prosecutor in the first case related to his disappeared wife.
I’m sure I’ve seen her in the British Museum.
As an exhibit.
I just know her from 2015 an onwards. And from then she has become nuttier and nuttier and more and more extreme.
You may recall that in January, Ann Telnaes announced that she had quit The Washington Post after editors killed a cartoon that depicted owner Jeff Bezos, among others, genuflecting to Trump.
At the time, Telnaes called the Post’s decision to spike the piece for its point of view “dangerous for a free press.” She was absolutely right.
Yesterday, Telnaes was awarded her second Pulitzer Prize. The Pulitzer Board alluded to the controversy at the start of this year by writing that Telnaes showed “fearlessness that led to her departure from the news organization after 17 years.”
Bravo.
In effort to prevent women being attacked by men in public toilets we are now having men attacking women in public toilets
Everyone knows the famous Vizzini axiom of not getting involved in a land war in Asia. Lawyers view legal entanglement with Disney’s lawyers the same way. And it was the use if Mickey that set off the Post’s “dont cross Disney” alarm system that made them pull this. The perverse thing is the cartoon was only necessary because Disney’s famously ruthless and effective lawyers capitulated on an unlosable case.
Are Starmers shoes still visible?
They are taking the piss out of the American public, this appointment is beyond ludicrous and Trump, as usual, doesn’t know or doesn’t want to!
Can you take the piss out of people too stupid to realise that your are taking the piss out of them?
Asking for a friend.
Just reflects the paper-thin depth of policymaking in this White House. It was absolutely obvious that this would make UK-manufactured cars subject to lower tariffs than virtually any US-manufactured, at least until US producers divert parts production.
