What the heck has Pete Buttigieg’s husband got to do with anything?
Nasty business by Trump. He is pretending to sound supportive - nice relationship they’ve got there - but he is trying to smear him among Trump’s base, or at least, the large neanderthal part.
Buttigieg is a veteran, a former Mayor, an intelligent multi-linguist who held a complex and large government job and did a good job with it. He speaks really well and has gravitas. His moral compass is light years away from Trump.
Whether or not it all translates to a future Presidency for Buttigieg I don’t know, but I would like to see it.

It is absolutely all of what you say (he is taking a swing at “degenerate” homosexuals and playing on the homos are weak ladidaa prejudice from previous decades long ago), but it is so transparant and vulgar that it is funny theatre to me.
After all, his least dangerous statement in a while. Would I have been outraged and demanded the resignation of a Norwegian politician who said this ? Of course, but it’s Uncle Caligula, so usually it’s worse than this.
I guess Tragicomic is a word.

He knows he cannot mention him without some derogatory reference about being gay, but didnt have anything ready to go so had to scramble and could only come up with “riding a bike with his husband on his back”. It makes no sense, but that is homophobia for you. The people he was speaking to understood it.
