One of the biggest “controversies” of the Obama era was the failure of a solar power company called Solyndra that went under (in response to the massive increase in fracking in the era that made investment in renewables less financially interesting) costing the tax payers $500m. The universal opinion on the right was that the federal government should not be getting involved in private companies in that way
Today they are fine with it, even when it appears to be an inside play by the president’s son
It is the Hunter and Solyndra stories rolled into 1, but with real actual controversies and not just pretend ones.
