So shallow and hyper focused on individuality philosophy, and he cannot see through another prism, which you again kind of need to do to properly understand the world. That is his weakness and why he will continue to be wrong in his next Iran War article.
He lacks imagination to such a degree that he just cannot understand a reality where leaders value their lives less than a cause or ideology, as an example. Too locked into individualism and it has made him stupid.
Also, one ought to expect that a man like Thiessen, who is supposedly well read, has read about the Iran-Iraq war and understood that some ideologies and cultures have people who are honest to God, willing to die for a cause and that it is not just “something they say”.
In any case, there are now very good indications that the war is over or about to be over, since the ccost of restarting it is rising due to recent events.
Example of such an event (Pakistan would not have done this had they expected the war to restart, as it then forces them to join, which they don’t want to do; and thus one can assess with some confidence that it signals Pakistani expectence of a ceasefire holding):

Swalwell has now been accused of being sex pest by multiple women who worked for him or were involved in local Dem organizations. One women’s claims tip it over into potential criminal sexual assault. His lawyer did absolutely nothing to help his cause
