ICE Agent wanted in Jan 14, 2026 shooting of Venezuelan immigrant in Minneapolis MN has been arrested in Texas
Texas Rangers arrested ICE Agent Christian Castro on felony criminal charges in connection with the January 14 shooting of Julio Sosa-Celis during an attempted immigration arrest in Minneapolis. The ICE Agent had falsely claimed that he shot the venezuelan immigrant while being beaten by the man and two others with a shovel and broom.
Duly noted! Nice one.
This is insane. It’s a legit impeachable offense to try to appointment someone so unqualified for such a critical role.

New management at the Elisson owned and Weiss run CBS news have now fired Scott Pelley, one of the last remaining high profile anchors of their news and flagship show, 60 minutes.
It is probably important to acknowledge that Pelley kind of backed them into a corner with a much reported on public show of dissention at an all hands meetings with the new EP of 60 minutes. He called out the new guy for his motivations for coming on board at this time and for his lack of credentials and so was pretty much asking to be fired and some will view the performance as self-serving. But I think the point is if a legit newsman had concluded he couldnt work there under the conditions and political motivations of the new management then making a public statement and big display of their bullshit on his way was very much the point.

For my part, new management has instructed me to inject falsehoods and bias into a politically sensitive story. I’ve been told to include assertions that are unverified. To date, in every case, I have managed to ignore these instructions or refuse them. Recently, politicians have been invited to choose correspondents for interviews on the broadcast. Giving politicians control over 60 Minutes interviews is not how this is done. Finally, incompetence and unprofessionalism in the new management have wreaked havoc. In a case involving one of my stories, the entire program came within 19 minutes of not getting on the air at all.
They’ve basically gutted it from the inside.
I hope what Pelley said very clearly…leads to this incarnation of 60 Minutes being treated no better than anything out of that “entertainment” channel called Fox News.
