Some of them love this stuff, which is why I no longer respect American culture at all. The US has some of the brightest minds, but the worst political and social culture in the West (in general). At the same time I know so many kind and sane Americans, so it is sometimes hard to understand how they can exist in that country.
I mean, they have a president who posts stuff such as this (from today, I think) and more than 30% are more than fine with it.

Absolutely.
If China had been completely ready, it would have invaded by now. Naval build up still not quite there, but in 2-3 years they can attack. If they want to.
They can probably attack in a year too, but then it would be much more risky.
But the US will not defend them (or if they will, they are sending so horrifically erratic signals that China is likely confident that they won’t).
