I didnât think the time off for public holidays was mandated there.
I expect the ones he wants to get rid of are:
Memorial day: dead veterans are âlooosersâ
Labor day: commies
MLK day: upperty black man
Juneteenth: deprived hard working plantation owners of cheap labour
Veterans Day: because he basically hates all servicemen.

I looked it up on Wikipedia. Seemingly, they categorise as Federal holidays, State holidays, and Local holidays. There is no legal mandate for these to be given as paid leave, but businesses will tend to do so on some but not others.
They also list informal holidays such as Halloween and St Patrickâs Day, which he presumably approves of as no one gets paid leave but they spend their hard earned dollars on tat.
Edit: incidentally, if a public holiday falls at the weekend in Germany you donât get a compensatory day off, which rather aggrieves me.

Iâm more than a little sceptical. The House should be a gimme for the Dems , but who knows after all the redistricting fuckery , and Iâd be more than surprised if they were to take the Senate , mainly because I just donât see how the scary Arab gets elected in must win Michigan.
And then on top of that you have Trump doing everything humanly possible to cheat , and failing that the very real likelihood that he will contest any defeats and find a way to disenfranchise voters through congressional process. A coup this time round would most likely be sucessful with the power he now holds for himself.

Im still angry about the 2020 cycle when a long shot Beto was taken out (as in become non-viable over night) by an attack on his naive position on immigration by one of the Castro brothers, a fellow Texas congressman. Yet Castroâs argument was based on a misstating of both the law and what Betoâs position meant. He took his knees out with no one stopping to say âMr Castro, everything you just said there is wrongâ and instead focused on theatre of a candidate of Mexican heritage telling a white man he is too lax about immigration policiy because he doesnât understand immigrants. Beto never recovered.

Maria Bartiromo has been very suddenly and unceremoniously canned by Fox News. She was one of the key issues in the Dominion voting machines law suit and so there was speculation that Fox would have to get rid of her over that, but they paid the (enormous) penalty and kept her.
It turns out she was trying to run another âthe 2020 election was stolen because of machinesâ story and got it blocked by the bigwigs, who then a sent a company wide memo reminding people about steering clear of that topic (because its made up and pretending it was real has cost them 100s of millions, and could rise to over $1B). She then forwarded the memo on to senior people in the white house and Fox canned her immediately upon finding out.
