Regardless of your viewpoint on rigged elections and conspiracy or what not around that… those polls are absolutely terrible for the Republicans. We are at the point he has to prevent them rather than fix them (If that was possible and yeah I know there are mechanisms he can use and pretty much has).
You know it’s bad because we’ve now started seeing the first clear opposition to the Trump admin record from a collection of otherwise Trumpy candidates. So far they have been cautious not to mention Trump too directly in their criticism, but it feels like we’re only one or two more candidates away from a 2008 style pattern of Republicans competing to be the one creating most distance from the policies of the current leader of their party. If it happens it’ll be the first real Strength in numbers opposition to Trump, bar maybe about 36 hours after Jan 6th

It looks like the Paramount-WB acquisition has cleared its last legal hurdle. There is lots of focus on the Hollywood aspect of this story, but it’s really a much bigger one and with direct implications for politics.
There is the news angle given the a group that already destroyed the reputation of one news brand are now acquiring CNN. But there is also the source of the money angle given that this deal approved Gulf states to collectively be the majority owners. This is difficult to project out the direction of influence and how it will clash with the Ellison’s belligerent pro israel angle, but its clearly not good.
And I dont know if voters will really authentically care about this, but it seems like the sort of thing that would be likely be made into an anchor for Newsome should he try to run in 28
