Yes, I think so personally, because it is by official decree (though I note that is now seems unofficial almost, as no one wants to really take responsibility for it, which I read as it came from Trump himself and was regarded as a bad idea or at least sensitive). If it only had been Musk, he would have done it due to having been urged to do so by the US gov, but this is imo worse.

One of the characteristics about this admin is there is no process for anything. Itâs partly an incompetence and ignorance thing in that they donât care how government works or care to learn. But itâs also an issue that process exists to direct decisions towards a certain outcome. We have so many malign actors involved now, all of whom all of whom have their own interests who are incentivized to eliminate normal process and once that has happened stuff just starts happening and they are all allowed to act dumb and ride it out until the next controversy emerges.

I understand where the sentiment to give Trump a chance came for in 2016. I even understood how people could be inclined to give him another chance in 2024. I mean it required paying absolutely no attention to anything and having the memory of a fish, but there are a lot of people like. I am just putting this here, even though it is not about US politics. But it is infuriating that Trump always always claims it is Ukraine who does not want peace or even a ceasefire. The Russians have never, ever said they want a ceasefire.

Yeah, this is still deeply weird. Why did it take him 2 weeks to make the decision? How can you so undercut the Defense Secretaryâs legs like this and have that person still be viable in a job. As always it is the Trump admin doing less than the absolute bare minimum and people someone giving them credit for it. A VP should only have limited responsibility for what the admin they worked for did, but once she stepped out from under Biden to be her own person in the campaign she said fucking nothing. This shit should have been said two years ago. Everyone is allowed to change their mind and evolve, but when you failed to do that when the world was waiting for you to do it then just stay the fuck sitting down.
