I’m confident that we will win the return leg and will go on to win the freaking Cup.
Where is the ‘forfeit this competition’ and ‘play the kids’ front?
I’m here. I was wrong, I admit.
Now let’s win this cunt.
And I might regret that post because it will be a difficult game.
Looking forward to it.
Bollocks. We’re winning this cunt. We’re miles better than Chelsea.
I’m actually still all for playing kids where we can, e.g. Gordon today. Got this far with them, they deserve to play more…
Kaide Gordon played today because frankly he is playing better than Minimino.
Love it!
Just booked my flight from Zagreb to London, hopefully will be able to find a ticket. I was there in 2012 for the FA Cup final against Chelsea, but couldn’t get in, so watched in a bar outside the ground.
Trophy number 49 is coming, lads.
Anyhow said this was our fourth choice and we should rotate the team but we’ve managed to reach the final so it now is there to win.
Think it was more down to him being more naturally suited for the right side than any of our other options.
I think his performance tonight was better than Minimino for the last few games even with the goal on Sunday.
If I was picking on form I’d pick him before Minimino.
Needs to calm down a bit, he’s getting into great positions. Should really have had 2 in 2 this past week. Tough for a kid, I know but wow, just imagine the boost he would got going forward had he scored those two chances against Brentford and Arsenal.
Will Wembley be at full capacity for the final? We have been allocated 33,000 tickets, so I’m guessing total ticket released will be around 75,000.
Stuart Attwell to referee the final with Darren England on VAR (guy who didnt give either of Mo’s clear pens in the last two games.
A little to those who said don’t care about this competition when it started and celebrated like we won the CL yesterday
But now that we have this in Klopps collection I will also not care about it for the next 5 years anymore.
This seems fair
I love everything we win and I want us to attack all competitions the best we can, simple as that.
There is actually no big (if any) difference how I feel/celebrate when we win something major (and that includes cups). I feel the same, nervous when I watch it, look at every detail, emotional, proud to witness it, new memories to collect.
It actually becomes bigger with time, just like our whole history? Which would be quite different without domestic cups? So… yeah.
In my 22 years of folllowing, I’ve seen 14 of our 49. Not a lot, but not a small thing either, what a ride. And we weren’t always the favourites for some of it. There were some dark days for the club also. There will be many more trophies hopefully long after me, so I intend to enjoy every bit of it while I’m here.
Of course, there are differerences in importance. But to me, it’s all important and nothing is non-important. A club of this size, especially when it’s football team is right up there, shouldn’t pick tournaments. That’s not how you create a winning mentality or how you remain such a big club (which we managed to achieve even in tough times).
Also, I don’t take trophies for granted. In the period between 2006 and 2019 we’ve won 1 single trophy (yes, a bloody League Cup on penalties against a Championship side - and not for the first time).
The rest is just fan fear/paranoia/taking it a bit for granted when we’re good (like now) that certain competitions harm other competitions. Sure, the calendar is crap and needs changing. But you can’t calculate/predict so much. Things change during a season, circumstances, tough draws, luck, priorities, etc. We know what’s the order of the 4 major competitions, but just go for them and that’s what a club like Liverpool should do.
THIS!
I agree with everything you said Zoran, we should go for everything, and now that we have the squad to do so, I think we will.
We should really also enjoy these wonderful times, because one day they will be gone, and we will only have the memories.
