It’s not the days until the next PL game this time.
Haaland and Mahrez are the only City players who are not at the World Cup.
WC semi finals are on December 13th/14th and the final and game for third place on Sunday.
FA Cup round starts on Tuesday but every extra days gives City the chance to include more players who return from the WC.
Most of the ties will take place on Wednesday when they are confirmed. If he wants to rush players back so be it.

Not sure if City have players out injured but I expect Pep to start a very strong team next.
Alvarez ist their only player still involved in the World Cup.
They won’t want to lose to us, but being 2nd in the league, this cup won’t be their priority. He might see it as a fitness opportunity to get his squad back up to full speed.

Can see Klopp not starting any of the players who were at the World Cup. We had enough players who might have been prepared to start this game during the last few weeks.
Could be the same 11 that started yesterday.
Pep on the other hand had Mahrez and Haaland at home so he probably has no choice to start the likes of KDB and Gündogan.

I find Sky Sports odd, easily shown a league cup match tomorrow but can’t for some reason have two games clashing at anyone time so don’t bother.
Seem still very much addicted to linear watching of TV, which even the BBC have moved on from.
I figured out how to link a twitch account to FB live group to rebroadcast TV Streams. just needed a little PC savvy and the right software.
