I wouldn’t touch a defender in this Czech side.
Even if we were league 2.

I like how he is more of a straight talker than Gareth was.
The problem is that it could be losing him hearts and minds within the England squad.
The England lads loved Gareth because he always batted for them regardless the result. He just couldn’t transiting to a more progressive style. I’m still in two minds as to whether that’s a lack of tactical cleverness or we genuinely lack in areas personnel wise so we have to maintain cover.
Despite that one bad match (a one-off), I thought the team looked far better with Carsley in charge.
Yes, but flags or songs or something…
I wonder if this is intended to tie him down in case the German national manager position becomes available?
Or the Utd job?
A lot of big management moves expected this summer, particularly as it is a world cup year, I’m sure there could be quite a bit of interest in his services.
Both parties are probably just happy with how it’s going so far and would like more than just the upcoming WC.
I am happy with Thomas Tuchel being our manager. It gives the players reassurance continuity that they will have the same manager for a long time and Tuchel can plan put is ideas and tactics to shape an excellent England team.
No Trent and I wouldn’t have picked him.

Tuchel press conference
I’m sure Trent’s omission will bring nothing but reasonable and compassionate debate (especially amongst Liverpool fans) should England lift the trophy in July.

I am wondering why has he left Trent out. He didn’t give us any clues. He also left Ollie Watkins out which is strange.
It’s been a while since Trent was in, due to different reasons. So it’s not really a shock. He has a few players who cover his position. And he said he knows everything about Watkins already, but wanted to have a closer look at Solanke and Calvert-Lewin.
He’s splitting this break into two parts, because some (main) players will be there immediately and then some other ones will join in, what might be the final chance for them to come in and impress.
Then of course, there is time from now until May and June, things can happen like injuries, etc.
Looks like Curtis Jones has also been left out of the squad.
I do like the English club football and i am a sympathizer of Liverpool FC, but i do not want, England wins the 2026 World Cup. That are the result of the anti-German sentiments of the England supporters (for example ,Ten German bombers" or ,Two World Wars and a World Cup"). For me as a German a no-go.
Also not a big surprise, considering his recent minutes at Liverpool. Like Foden, who’s also been dropped. I guess he will be disappointed with that, considering that someone like James Garner (obviously he did well to get in) is in. So if he had played more for us, he would’ve been there I believe. It’s a very weird situation he’s in with a little more than a year left on his deal, it looks like he might be off this summer (and remains to be seen whether that has anything to do with Slot staying or not).
