England National Team

Need a mercy rule. Or can they get 4 players sent off to forfeit?

8-0 and Abraham went on to get yellow card? Silly boy.

What is the fuckin point?

Who does it benefit apart from Kane’s goal tally?

Stat padding from Trent with a hat-trick of assists.

Lee Dixon has made himself look like a right knob. He criticised Trent earlier in the game, said there’s something wrong with his body language?? WTF!
Then he pops up with three brilliant assists, so funny.

They lost that game 7-1 mins didn’t they, however wasn’t it the one that prevented England from a chance of going to World Cup 94*

*wouldn’t have gone anyhow, ironically that was the first game of football I ever watched live on tv.

Predates my fandom of Liverpool or being a fan of any team actually, I think it was the match of the day the week or fortnight later I settled on Liverpool.

fastest International goal, and it stopped England going to the USA 94 World Cup,

it just gets better and better…

Anyhow Trent got through this I guess plus a few assists.

Gareth 3 assists…not 2…so you weren’t watching Trent were you…dum cluck…

Yeah, we needed to score a hatful to catch the Dutch GD, but also required them to fail to win their game. We got the bare minimum required even with the opening San Marino goal, but the Dutch won making it all irrelevant.

Harry Kane will be England’s all time top scorer.
That is going to happen soon.
And history will not record that a large percentage of those goals came against postmen, lads hanging around dressing rooms waiting for the call up and lads who won a local magazine draw to play in a big game.

Utter nonsense, Arry is the epitome of flat track bullying.

Wasn’t that the campaign where we were robbed in the game against the Dutch at Wembley? I seem to recall Koeman bringing down Platt in the area for what should have been a red card and a penalty that wasn’t given and then him going on to score the winner. Might have been the same game that Barnes curled a beautiful free kick into the top corner and, I think, doing a rabona to cross the ball at one point or perhaps it was with the outside of his boot?

I certainly remember thinking how much of a cheat Koeman was.

Yes. The famous " you can tell the ref he just cost me my job" incident. It was a tight group all along, but even after the loss to Norway all we needed to do was avoid defeat in Holland and then that happened early in the second half and it ultimately fell apart from there.
