Hearing from friends in the stadium, confirming he seemed to be awake when he was stretchered off.
A picture is doing the rounds, with Christian alive and breathing on a stretcher. Hopefully this is true.
The reason i debated with myself on posting was because of the invasion of christian’s privacy. The broadcasters did a number focusing on the treatment and on his wife and his team mates…
That photo was good news, so no reason to be concerned IMO.
Yeah, the broadcasters were pretty tactless in keeping televising the incident. Yes, we should respect the privacy of the moment.
But I’m glad that you posted here, in a private forum, and I for one is somewhat easy now. Horrible thoughts were going through my mind.
as far as im concerned you did 2 good things : posting it and quickliy deleting it. it brought me great releif to see it. thanks !
Thanks for saving that post (picture, which has now vanished), looks positive. Seems like his head is slightly elevated, don’t know about the hand though, not sure who’s it is. His eyes seem slightly open.
Spiegel online, a german site which is generally quite reliable, wrote that one of the doctors gave a “thumbs up” sign whlie they carried him out
Oh it can we did the FA course and it was suggested if take away what we learn in practice it’s a good chance we can save lives.
That sounds positive I have to say.

All our thoughts and prayers are with Christian Eriksen
I am just so happy now. I had a dizzy sense of revulsion and saw images of other people I have seen die from war zones play in my mind. It was sickening, because when you check out certain sources, you are prepared mentally for terrible sights. I was not prepared mentally at all, it is supposed to be a sporting event so felt like a horrific gut punch psychologically.
My heartfelt warm wishes goes out to Eriksen. I hope he will be surrounded by competent medical personnel and that he recovers as fast as possible. I also hope that the media will give his family some space. They need it.
The scariest moment I’ve ever witnessed on live television!
I pray he is getting well soon!
Thank goodness for that update
i never pray but i send all my love and thoghts to him
Oh God please let him be ok. What a nightmare
Thanks for posting that.
That he has been stabilised is the best news tonight, I was fearing the worst.
Let’s hope he makes a rapid, full and complete recovery.
Some things are more important than sport or any petty rivalries.
Thank God, he seems to have pulled through.
In other news let’s keep adding matches to the football calendar. More CL games, a fully fledged World Club Cup tournament, World Cup every two years, that’s what matters.
