When he plays for France his talent is obvious and so I think his extended struggles with Utd is just a mark of how badly they have misunderstood and misused him.
Until, and unless, he grows up he simply isnt a player you can put in a defined role. Deschamps understands this and accommodates him. Utd have never really done that and so for them you see all his faults when he doesnt do the job that’s been asked of him, and it robs him of the freedom to go and hurt the opposition in whatever way he decides is best.

Tense 45. A bit nervy at times, more than a few mistakes by both teams. Both teams have a lot of respect for each other. Quality could have been better from both teams.
