Actually, the defence didn’t do anything outrageously wrong there, Defries just had the perfect timing Positioning of the Ukrainian defender not bad, but his timing was off and he was crushed in the air. In reality, the good Ukrainian keeper should maybe have saved it and struck it out for a corner. But even the best fail at times, and he is not the best in the world.
What was awful was the pass back to the keeper. Shot themselves in the foot after somehow getting back into the game.
Is Virgil among the coaching staff?
