Germany just lack some blade sharpness to cut through. Play well enough, but not as effective as previous iterations at this moment in time.

Germany have no recognized striker or consistent/legitimate goal threat at the front. There is quality in that side but like you say Magnus very little sharpness at the top.

Yes, they don’t look like any sort of favorites so to speak. Of course, it is possible to play one self in form in such competitions, others have often done that before after all. But I have a sneaking doubt concerning Germany’s strikers and offensive midfield suddenly taking more of their chances.
In any case, to advance at all, a point here will probably be needed.

Doesn’t really matter when the quality of passing in the build up means that if Dias doesn’t put it in his own net, Havertz puts it in.

He had no choice to intervene though. The pass and movement was finally good enough for Germany there, and so he had to stick a foot forth. And then these odd deflections often happens
