France making a late case to make the final of an all left of centre final.
Lol, really?
Except when they gang up at the Olympics
Itās not an elite Dutch team, like some of the great sides we have witnessed over the years. I would say England have more match winners, but the Dutch are playing better so far.
Itās a toss of a coin for me.
I do feel Harry Kane should be benched though. He isnāt offering anything.
Of course the media are bad, but thereās a culture of getting as drunk as possible as quickly as possible and, as some mentioned, a disrespect for other cultures, that is deeply unpleasant. The media didnāt tell the fans to sing about bombers in Germany, and the excuse that everyone else is doing it is pathetic.
The strange thing is that despite all this, there is a lot of love for the English, and more generally, the British on the continent. I have been treated with kindness and respect everywhere Iāve been and especially here in Germany. There is goodwill based on film, music, popular culture, which overrides the biannual punch and puke show.
Iām sure @RedWhippet will agree.
Not sure how he managed to take the kick off if he was in Germany.
Wonāt happen sadly. His biggest fan is Southgate, and the latter always sticks with his men crushes, even when itās obvious to all that theyāre badly out of form.
My instinct as an Englishman would be to not associate with the English crowd too much, if I could help it. I think it is better than years ago, but thereās still too much drinking and loutish behavior that has an edge to it, and if they were met with another set of fans of equal disposition, it would likely lead to trouble.
I also think the German bomber song should be off the menu. It is insensitive and points to a nation stuck in the past.
Fair play to all the ones who are there and not letting themselves down. I think it is changing for the better, but thereās still some work to do.
Yes, definitely. I think there is still an appreciation of the positive cultural impact that Britain has on Germany, particularly in terms of things like music and television where the two are very closely linked.
I wasnāt aware Joe Gomez had gone
Mr Versatile.
Heāll sit anywhere on the bench there is a spare seat. Same as Ryan and Ibou.
And which thread is this?
Whereās @Alright_Now_Legend
Who are we supporting tonight?
Spain for me, as they have consistently played the best football so far.
I am working for a living today, Ifti. But I hope you ruin the experience for everyone.
Donāt worry; he will.
