He probably has not had to buy a meal, or a drink, since he got to LFC once people realised why he was in the City
His 12 (I thought it was 8 minute cameo) was better than thingy.
Then having seen Rangers occasionally you can see why thingy never got near the pitch.
That was an odd signing when you look at it now. Scouts must have seen something they really liked that translated about as well as Hodgsonās methods. It is always going to happen, but usually you can piece together what they might have seen.
Said it was shite signing a player on loan who wasnāt fit. Fleeced by Juve we were.
If Iām being charitable, it could have been a shrewd signing, albeit one made in a bit of a panic, after mismanaging the midfield department.
It wasnāt!
He got injured and didnāt play.
Good luck to the fella. I hope he gets a gig where he can play and show what he can do. There was a time in his career where he looked a player, and he still has lots of time to get back to that.
Not here though!
Did not even knew he had a number ā¦

Thatās to represent the number if different injuries seen to by the medical staff over the course of his loan.
Think I would be laughing too if I had earned so much for so little. How much was it per minute?
Nothing to suggest he did anything wrong. He came here having not played in a long time, gave it his best effort to get up to speed, turned out for the U21s to aid in that effort, got injured and then had to start all over again in building back up by which time the season was ending and we didnāt need him.
Everything Iāve seen from training suggests that he was getting along with everyone well, had clicked with at least a few of the other lads and was doing things the right way - it just didnāt work out.
Nice little bit of camaraderie from the squad to give him a decent send off.
We are at fault on this we shouldnāt have left ourselves short and the club made a mistake and took a gamble.
I wish the guy all the best.
At least Arthur has been consistent. He hadnāt played for months before signing for us and continued not playing all season after signing.
Exactly - WTF did we pay Juve 4m for this guy on loan? Our midfield dealings have been a disgrace and we better hope lessons have been learnt
He posted a very classy goodbye message on Twitter, so he has my respect for that. Itās a shame it hadnāt worked out for him but heās just a symptom of a malaise that set in. For all of our recruitment in Klopp era, we really showed some chinks in the armour when we started making deals like Davies, Kabak and Arthur. Hopefully weāve learnt our lesson and wonāt be getting ourselves in that position anymore. To Arthur, the best of luck in the future.
The big chink is not fixing the midfield last summer (or even the one before). The folly of Waiting for Jude (basically a Beckettian saga).
Arthur is a great example of why Klopp doesnt like to panic buy.
No more loan buys. Davies wasnt quite a failure but kabak and Arthur def were.
This is where we need a strong DoF to put the foot down and sign players irregardless of whether klopp says or not.
I wouldnāt be surprised if this was a DoF signing just to ensure Klopp had some wriggle room , but with the pursuit of Tchouameni failing and the subsequent purchase of Nunez. Instead of panic buying someone like Rabiot for instance , club went safety first getting in Arthur in the hopes of getting better value the next season.
Itās shown that this approach is a failure given that the rest of the league is spending on inflated levels to play catch up. One that needs to be rectified now. Banking on past laurels isnāt done anymore.
Davies we bought, not loaned. We turned a profit too, selling him to Rangers for more than double what we paid PNE.
Kabak wasnāt a failure Iād say - he did alright considering his situation coming. What worked out well for us was that it was effectively a free look at a lad that we were supposedly interested in, he played, we decided not to keep him. We move on.
Arthur - yeah no issue with the guy - that fk up is on the club.
The fact that Rhys Williams and Nat Phillips did better than him and were preferred starters to Klopp that season defines him as a failure.
And Iād seen Arthur at Barca, didnāt impress me much. And Iād seen him at Juve where he struggled as well.
Forget the inflated transfer fee that Barca does for money laundering. There wasnāt anything to show that he could thrive in the PL.
Well he started 9 of 10 PL games in a row (as well as 4 x CL games) up until he got injured, at which point Williams came in and he never recovered in time to play again that season before his loan ended.
So maybe those lads did better at not picking up an injury, but had Ozan stayed fit he probably played every game till the end of the season. But they certainly didnāt overtake him in the pecking order - it was forced.
