that goal he scored vs Huddersfield, I was sitting pitch-level at the Kop end and I couldn’t see how we’d gotten the ball into the back of the next, it happened quite quickly. around the 1:15 mark.

Naby was impressed with their treatment room apparently. It was a deal breaker.

F*ck me, Werder Bremen, who were 13th last season.

:joy:

I sincerely hope that his career doesn’t fizzle out like Sturridge. Good luck Naby

I think it just has.

More shocked he passed the medical than dropped club standards that far

Good luck Naby lad.

Werder fans completely out of order… or “aus dem Häuschen” as we say :upside_down_face:

This deal happened due to a personal connection with SD Baumann afaik .

Now we have a pretty good indication why nobody was interested enough to offer us some money for him in some of the last windows. Or why it just didn’t happen from all sides. Money + interest from the market + the player wanting to leave us enough.

No way he will be getting anywhere close to 120K/week, though maybe a signing bonus. Fans are often simply delusional about the market value of a player who isn’t quite cutting it (for whatever reason) at a top wage bracket club.

Yeah, to go from Liverpool right now to Werder… that’s quite a drop. Let’s be real, most people probably imagined some much better positioned clubs to take him on a free. They just won promotion back to the Bundesliga last season, finished 13th, got knocked out in the 2nd round of the cup.

Hopefully he has a good , injury free career.

Good luck Naby lad. There are worse places you could have ended up. I hope you remain healthy and have a successful career from here on in.

Yeah best wishes for him. Can’t have been easy being injured so much, mentally just as much as physically.

I won’t have any ill-will towards him. Was his career in Liverpool disappointing? Well for sure , but no one would have been more gutted than him the way it didn’t work out.

Hopefully he finds his love of the game back and plays well , and injury free. If he happens to make it back to the champions league , all the power for him to come in and prove us wrong.

I tend to remember the good moments that the likes of him and ox have given us. And that’s what I’d do. Both of them tried their best , as did the likes of Lallana. Just a shame it didn’t work out.
