Matip too.
Iām not sure itās the playing style. Keitas previous injury record didnāt suggest he would go down this badly. We took a calculated gamble with Ox and his Roma injury derailed him(even if his injury record at Arsenal is taken into consideration).
Lallana was used regularly by Klopp in his first half season and wasnāt the same after injury.
Thiago we bought knowing his fitness issues
Milner, Gini , Henderson , Can, Fabinho largely remained injury free throughout.
Too early to call on Elliot, Jones.
Only looking at midfield.
Itās a combination of gambles(which our club has had to take in order to compete with City ) even if it meant taking on people with known injury problems and hoping that they are beyond those injuries.
I do believe that approach has to change, we need reliability as well.
There was issues with Lallana based on other health factors but he seemed more of an issue with the usual footballing injuries once he arrived.
Didnāt he never finish a game before he came here. Oxās injuries were well known but that ACL really did for him. Keita as you said never really had a track record that I remember.
WERDER.DE: Deco also played in Bremen with Barcelona, can you also remember the Werder team at that time?
Naby KeĆÆta: I couldnāt watch that game because we didnāt have a TV in Africa, but later I watched the game. Werder played really well and think they drew in the end.
Surely Werder should know no person is watching a Werder Bremen game, nevermind in Africa
The āoldā Werder were one of the most entertaining sides in Europe at the time.
4-diamond-2, very attacking approach, sometimes a bit naive defensively, some good players.
They were hosting Barcelona, so, they were pretty good at that time.
I remember seeing those odd Werder Bremen matches. Not sure Keita will ever be back to his best , but hopefully for him , his post liverpool kicks off well.
ā¦and so it beginsā¦ again.
The poor and mans career has been ruined by injuries
Not so poor, he was rinsing us for Ā£120k a week.
He had a contract so
Wage thief, he gets no sympathy from me.
Iām extremely relieved heās someone elseās problem nowā¦
Yeah, I donāt want to call him a āthiefā or anything, and I do think the real culprit is his national team. But he is old enough now that his injury problems are just going to get worse and recovery times longer - and I never got the sense he was one of those athletes who absolutely attacked the rehab process, nor worked constantly to maintain his conditioning the way Milner has.
Out for several weeks.
