Come in, win a few trophies, and leave as a Legend. No messy contract standoffs, no forcing moves, no āthe truth will come outā cryptic messages.
He can go and lose his legs somewhere else like in the old days and we will only have fond memories and we already have players in place to try and live up to his legacy.
He started this season with goals but unfortunately age caught up with him in regards to injuries and his normal fitness levels were affected.
Some people may not think of him as a legend, but I do, why, all supporters will remember him as the do Molby, someone who played the game at a different level in what they do and how they do it, his smile, his celebrations, his no look finishes/passes, his skill, his workrate and most of all his selflessness.
For me Bobby is Kloppās Liverpool. He will always be the first player I think of when Iām remembering one of the greatest Liverpool teams Iāve ever seen. He epitomises everything thatās been great about the last 7 years. Brilliant football backed up by a load of hard graft. The goal against Arsenal was one of my favourite moments at Anfield. Just a couple of minutes after the no-look equaliser, weaving in and out, leaving defenders on their arse. The atmosphere was electric that night. He had the best goal celebrations. He even had the best song. Yes, itās the right decision but itās still a sad, sad day.
Iāve never been a fan of large-scale turnover in any team, thereās a chemistry/culture that has to be maintained to keep that success rolling. Bobby has been a mainstay of the side for 8yrs, heās our #9 for ALL of our successes in the Klopp era. still has the footwork, still has the smile and still has the fire. I hope thereās a change, heās stated he didnāt want to leave earlier in the season.
One of my favorite players of the Klopp era along with James Milner and probably Robertson and Van Dijk.
He is probably not a club ālegendā though, as I think that should be reserved for a very select few and you probably have to play at least a decade for the club to be one. Still, one of the greater in the modern era.
