Ex-player: Sadio MANÉ

Maybe I just remember it differently, but I remember him getting lots of games. Not sure why Rafa would do that for someone he’s not really sold on, considering how quickly he was to dispose of others.

El Zhar got a good number of appearances that season. As did NGog the year after. Rafa was someone who tried to find a way to make what he had worked at any given time, but it was often with players he’d have swapped out for someone else in a heartbeat.

I think he liked Babel, but wasnt willing to bet the farm on him at that point and so was looking for something more reliable in the role (hence Riera)

Either way, whatever our problems were that season, Keane was one of them rather than a solution.

So…, that Mane fella. I’m sure he’s really interested in the nuanced debate surrounding Robbie Keane and Rafa as well as how good Nabil was for us, especially when he had N’gog in front of him. Not.

We’ll never know Wyld, failed his medical.

Maybe this is the last word on Robbie Keane… It was widely reported that on shortly moving into temporary accommodation just after signing for LFC… his apartment got ransacked, which made it the sixth Liverpool player in a short spell that the same had happened to… (Gerard’s wife faced four armed robbers in their house)… Keane’s girlfriend/wife, wanted out straight away, and apparently he was getting pressure from his home life to up-sticks and transfer somewhere else, as well as the pressure his poor form brought about… Understandable I suppose, if it was the reason why he never hit the ground running for us

Considering he was shit even after leaving us… It must have been a long-term issue.

Those robberies were probably committed by fans of Everton.

Everton once had a player called Mike Newell.

Newell’s Old Boys is a football club based in Rosario, Argentina.

Rosario is twinned with Dakar, the capital of Senegal.

Senegal is the home country of Sadio Mané.

Someone had to get this thread back on track. :sunglasses:

You’ve solved it!

Mané sabotaged Keane’s career so he could be seen as the saviour! It all makes sense now!

This isn’t the first time that something like this has happened at Fc Bayern.

There were many others, i found a German article today with the headline “the fight club”:joy: incredible

1999: Lizarazu vs Matthäus in Bayern training
2002: Kuffour vs. Jeremies - (Fink black eye)
2010: Robben vs Lahm
2012: Ribery vs Robben
2019: Lewandowski vs Coman

One piece is missed, i am quite certain there was also a “thing” in 2020 between Boateng and Goretzka.

Sadio is just following an old bavarian tradition :joy:

Fucking Germans. Fleecing us on Thiago, fleecing us on Sadio and now trying to fleece us on Jude, so much so that we can’t even afford 50% of him. This is now German on German financial violence, and Jurgen’s getting abused.

They are (or were) called FC Hollywood for a reason.

Sadio was fined over €300k :grimacing:

anyone else find it suspicious, Sane and Mane competing for a spot? Sane gets under his skin, Mane reacts and gets himself fined. now Sane starts the next match vs City?

They’re not really competing for the same spot. Mane, if he started, would’ve played instead of Coman or Choupo.

Sadio punched his team mate in the face. Lucky that he made the bench.

They’ve suspended him for one game and if they wouldn’t be desperate at the moment I doubt he would have played another game until the end of the season.
