I wonder what if the club gave him the same wage that Wirtz is about to receive a.k.a 350k/week 14 months ago when they first gave him the new contract. I mean, Wirtz is about to earn an amount that Arnold could have never dreamed of if he stayed.
Imo itâs really not about him learning Spanish, but about him lying. He even said at the press conference in Madrid that heâd only been learning Spanish for a few weeks. He could have simply said that he started during the COVID-19 pandemic to have something to do or something, that would have been less noticeable.Then there are the rumors that he learned it in school, etc. All nonsense.
Presumably, people also deal with it differently when they find out theyâve been lied to, and over a long period of time. Itâs something everyone has to work out for themselves.

I thought his last contract was 4 years ago, not 2 years ago.
Looked like reading from a teleprompter to me, could be wrong. It was a short prepared speech, could have easily memorised that too. Thatâs not really âspeakingâ fluently. Doesnât mean he hasnât planned this whole thing for years, just saying.

Really? I mean, it was watched all over the world, and everyoneâs reaction was the same. Heâd been preparing for it for a long time. I didnât see a teleprompter, but he had one back thenâin the video of his farewell speech to our fans he had to read the text., tbf.

I can only laugh at the constant attempts to downplay and gloss over the whole thing, but each to their own. As I said, everyone deals with it differently.
