Mou was tactically astute enough then to work with pragmatic formations.
Donāt know if he still has that in him now. But at this point , I can see him getting rid of Carvajal if only for practical reasons like age etc. Carvajal has become very injury prone. Which given his age , isnāt surprising
Heāll start with and try and improve Trent. But if Trent doesnāt respond , he will look for a break and then try to ship him off.
I donāt think we would be particularly interested in Trent then though. We likely would have a different style of play and Trent has stagnated a fair bit due to his Madrid stay.
And Trent worked hard at Liverpool on his defensive abilities but was still being found out short on his recovery runs etc quite a lot of times.
Liverpool could accommodate him most of the times with the entire side working overtime in defensive duties. But when thereās a side full of prima Donnaās like Madrid , Trent would always be caught.

Itās partly Madridās fault too. They made vini jr to the footballer that he is.
I do think itās awful how heās been treated by some sections of the opposition fans with racist chants.
But there are other aspects of him which deserved to be called up on
Vini jr , mbappe , Bellingham , Trent ā¦ Thatās way too many slackers for a top team.

Sad, isnāt it? I really wonder if heād consider coming back to LFC at some point. Of course, not as long as Slot is here, but afterwards?
Sooner or later there will be talks about Trent returning to Liverpool.
For now he has to hope Mourinho will save his Madrid career but itās highly unlikely that Mou likes what Trent can offer as a defender

It is sad. Regardless of the rights and wrongs in how he left, he made what he felt was a good career move and it appears to have gone down the toilet. I feel sorry for the guy. As for returning to Anfield? Iād be surprised if he did, especially when a section of the support were so vehemently critical of him going.
As for England? Whenās he ever had a decent run in the team? Gareth didnāt have that much faith in him and now TT has even less.

Everyone is entitled to a mistake. He thought that the grass was greener elsewhere. Remember Rush? If it had been you in charge, I suppose he wouldnāt have had the chance to come back?
Point is that we have a gap at right back. Frimpong isnāt really the answer it seems (maybe more uselful as a winger), and Bradley, very unfortunately so, doesnāt seem to be reliable enough to stay fit throughout a season.

I would not want him back even on a free personally.
He would make us stronger obviously and is a Liverpool lad but run down your contract to engineer a move away, fuck him. He can make his bed.
Like having your girlfriend talk to your enemy behind your back as the relationship dwindles and then you and her breaking up and then looking to come back to you a year or so laterā¦no chance.(not speaking from experience of courseā¦ā¦ā¦.definitely notā¦.)

He was starting regularly under Arbeloa and from the little Iāve watched them, he seemed the same player that featured for us. Some outrageous passing to go along with suspect defending, although he looked like he was trying harder defensively.
Tuchel screwed up by leaving him out of the squad altogether. Even if he didnāt count him as a starter, not being even able to call on him at all, seems like a move that he could come to regret.

Yes, I do remember Rush but not sure of the relevance as the circumstances of his and TAAās departures are chalk and cheese.
