To that opinion, Real Madrid cannot be managed unless the manager plays golf with the players. The player dressing room rules that club. Zidane was a success because he was the cool, charismatic older brother.

I don’t think Xabi will want to go to United. He knows that’ll kill any shot of him managing here at any point in the future.
I think he’ll wait until the summer to see what opens up.
Most likely scenario - Slot secures us a Champions League place by the end of the year. The club declines to extend him, everyone shakes hands, and he looks for his next opportunity with his head held high.
Xabi is appointed shortly thereafter, to much excitement.
