Balague is a balloon of hot air as far as I’m concerned. He doesn’t know Xabi personally as far as I know, and has no links to the club anymore since Rafa departed.

I had mentally prepared myself for Xabi coming in. I am so disappointed now, anyone else who comes, I am just going to find it hard to accept and will think, is he going to be good enough.

Personally I’m not writing off Alonso yet, I think there’s going to be a lot of misinformation flying around until a definitive decision is taken.
I doubt he’s even certain in his own mind yet, he’ll just be focused on winning the title for now.
