Rafa and his Blueshite will take 3points off them for us :0)
Agreed here also. I believe January will be a bigger challenge than most think. Especially if Div and Minamino have a setback in their rehabilitation.
And in no way do I want the club to go to market to purchase cover for 3 weeks. Just have to find a way to tread water with the players we have available. I often dislike the phrase “it is what it is”, but in this situation it is true.
Expectations:
Prem - second or third. First not out of the question, but we will know more as we go. Big month to navigate coming up.
Champions League - semi final seems about par for us. Could win it.
League Cup - depends on the strength of the respective teams we put out for the semi. Could win it.
FA Cup - could win it. Could get knocked out early doors. Strength of team we field, plus schedule and other games prioritized, seem to be the main limiting factors.
In summary, definite CL qualification for next season, plus some silverware… obviously the bigger the better.
With a squad and manager like this, we would look extremely poor if we did not win a prize. Last year was a fluke due to all of our CB injuries but this year we must win something with, as I said before, the squad and manager we have.
Expectations remain high. Need to win the league or Champions League. Not doing so would be a second straight season of failure. Also expect us to win the league cup.
I think we will win something! And the bigger the better, fair chance of CL.
Prem is still there to play for, but it will be difficult to overhaul Man City. Not impossible, but difficult. If they repeat their first half of the season, we will need 17 wins and 2 draws to be level on points with them at the end of the season.

I’ve heard this Stat before and over the past few days and somehow it’s become not a matter of if they will repeat it but become fact.
City are undoubtedly favourites by some margin, but things can quickly change in football.
Ultimately the CL is the priority for City. They will rest players and drop points in the second half of the season. The big week will be the second week of April where our match with them is sandwiched between 2 QF Cl games.
Form, Fitness, COVID, fixture spacing, home and away order of those games, luck will have a big impact. Heck I would not bet against drawing them in the QF games.
That’s the must win game. Other than that it’s just hoping they drop 3 points somewhere.
Yes, it’s quite ridiculous. If they repeat their first half of the season, they would have 94 points, which has been bettered what, 5 times in Premier League history?
Frankly, if we have minimal injuries by then I could see us winning all 3 games (assuming we make it to the quarterfinals of course). We definitely have a better squad than they do overall.
I’ve seen nothing yet to suggest that we will take the domestic cups as seriously as we should if we want to win them, but for the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs as all the other chances for silverware disappear they will prioritise these competitions and we will probably fall short.
In the league I expect 2nd or worst case 3rd. While City may not match their first half haul, I do not expect us to improve enough on ours to overtake them.
In the Champions League we stand as much chance as anyone and could win it but also could not.
The current odds are $8 to win the League and $8 to win the FA Cup. Then $6 to win the CL and $2.85 to win the League Cup.
4 cracks at trophies at lowish odds. So you would have to expect one of these to land otherwise the season is a poor one. I think the League is gone but CL genuine.
Us v Bayern is gonna be one hell of a final.
My expectations are not any different now than at the beginning of the season because we’re still in the four competitions I expected us to win😏
My expectations are… I don’t have any other than I expect to be on the end of some really dodgy refereeing.
My hopes however are sky high. I really hope this team can prove itself to be what we know it can be.
I also hope that Covid doesn’t play havoc but I fully expect the PL to completely screw that as well. It appears they already have done.
Quadruple.
Expectations? For this season?
Seriously, I hope that our lads can quickly get back from all that disruption currently happening, and continuing to stun us with their beautiful football. Trophies? I don’t expect anything, although getting one this season would be great of course.
In calendar order:
Mo, Naby and Sadio to win AFCON.
Win the EFL cup.
Win the FA cup.
