Worse than last year unfortunately. Issues that have plagued us last year have not been solved imo (easy goal scoring opportunities through over the top balls or balls out wide, especially Trent’s side). I think the average over the season will be 1 major scoring opportunity a game just from this tactic.

4th will be a tough ask but hopefully we’ll do enough to pip the chasing pack to it…fingers crossed we have a bit of luck this time with injuries.
Semi final or 2 maybe & beating Chelsea to a signing would be nice.

The quantity of teams who legitimately have a shot at the CL places is growing, due to dodgy money flooding into the game. At this stage I hope for a top four finish, and a trophy, with signs of progress being made that give hope for more to come.
Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd and Newcastle have all spent a fortune, and we will need to finish above two of them to be top four.
If we do more business, especially on a good def midfielder, then I back us.
If we fail to do more business, top four is touch and go.

Top 4 would be great, but a lot has to happen. Kind of like last year, I try to be optimistic that we can do until X is no longer possible, but am cynical enough to (usually) anticipate the worst.
It will be very hard to reach top four if we don’t move in the transfer market anymore. But it could be an intriguing season, with a lot of ups and downs, because our youngsters will play a lot. They have the talent if not the experience to be consistent. It could be very exciting to watch them grow as the season goes on.
I would hope that we challenge for the top 3. December will be critical for us. First there are loads / too many games, where our quad depth will be tested, and second, if we win all of them all, and they are all winnable, we would be in a very good position to ride out our traditionally difficult period post Christmas and keep the challenge going.
Too early for me to care about any of the other competitions right now.
I think we’ll be challenging for the title , I’m sure of this every year🙌.
I think we need to reflect that last year was a challenge that fell apart for a few reasons besides the usual referee/var conspiracy,injuries etc.
The fact that we lost mane and punted on Nunez was a gamble that became apparent that would need time, but after the season before where we came close to a quadruple, I think the WC didn’t help either, and we saw towards the end of the season we were kind of getting back there .
Good job the money grabbers left as many have pointed out last season they were abysmal and also the sicknotes …and quietly I honestly feel there is a buzz around this team…we are still fighting the same bunch of cheats and the same crooked institutions…but no one thrives better than us when written off, so my expectation is too win everything as always and that ain’t changing.

I don’t really have any expectations until everything has closed and fallen into place.
