Chelsea at home might just save us. Assuming that we don’t fuck up too much in the preceding games.
Forget the cups.

Could happen … ![]()
My only expectation for the season, is that it ends ASAP!
Well, once again. Good evening, Limescouse. Next time when you decide it is really funny to quote me here, think carefully about my words about Klopp and maybe just maybe you will understand what I meant at the time…
Fark.
Treating this like validation for years of criticizing everything and everyone even when things were going well is like using Rogan getting better after a week of covid to demonstrate that the establishment were wrong to warn people against taking Ivermectin horse paste
I believe the stars are aligned
. We will win a trophy.
and get top 5 ![]()
Then i woke up. ![]()
Not sure if I have posted in here since the summer with an expectation… I usually fall asleep during England games outside of the world cup/Euros but I reckon at some point I will fall asleep during a Liverpool game.
It’s ever decreasing circles.
Start of the season, win the title, maybe a cup too, the bigger the better. Then reality hits and we are talking about a title challenge and a cup. Then reality hits and we are talking about top four and a cup. Then reality hits and we are talking about five spots opening for the Champions League next season. Nab one of those and maybe a cup and move on.
Then reality hits and Man City dump us out on our arses. Up next it’s PSG and we are saying you never know, we save our best stuff for Europe. Then we lose 2-0 and we all know it should have been six. So now we are hoping for a miracle while invoking the power of the Anfield crowd. Few, if any, think it will happen given the gulf between the sides.
Expectations now?
Qualifying for next season’s Champions League is still on. Maybe 50-50 but only due to the terrible form of one or two rivals for the CL spots. We have some tough fixtures coming up in the Prem between now and the end of the season, and those odds have every chance of getting worse.
Ever decreasing circles.
Can I have 100 too please?

Now, UEFA’s rule is cleared up. We need to reach top 5 for UCL now! Top 5 at the minimum!
You forgot top 5 might be unlikely so we are looking at an English team winning the Europa League so 6th place get in the CL next season.
There is a scenario, I think with villa finishing 6th and winning in Europe that 7th gets CL as well. It’s pretty absurd
Doubt it works like that.
You think I made it up? Cheers
No. I think you’re wrong.
How could Premier League have seven teams in the Champions League? The only way this can become a reality is if the Champions League and Europa League winners are both English - and both finish outside the Premier League’s top four.Villa have a five-point cushion over fifth-placed [Liverpool(Liverpool FC - Transfer news, results, fixtures, video and audio), so it seems less likely to happen if Unai Emery’s team win the Europa League.
But if Liverpool win the Champions League - while finishing outside the top four - and Nottingham Forest win the Europa League, there would be seven English teams in the top competition.
The point being that we’re not getting CL next year unless we either finish in the top 5 or win the thing.
Right. There is no scenario in which PL 6th or 7th qualifies for CL unless those teams win the CL or the EL.
