Don’t think we should allow that. We paid 10m (?) for him after injury etc and we’ve shown he can play in the most physical league and also contribute. If an Italian club won’t pony up what we paid as a minimum, we just say to Chiesa that they clearly don’t want you so you’ll have to stay or go to a club that meets our (very reasonable) valuation. That’s what big clubs elsewhere always do and I don’t think we can continue to be an easy touch for players (and especially Italian clubs) looking to get want away players on the cheap.
